Paper Quality
Tokens and Trifles™ sewing cards use a high quality, smooth finish, heavyweight paper with flawless texture and better stitching performance. Using a special manufacturing process, Tokens and Trifles™ sewing cards result in a smoothly perforated surface that delivers a clean look and satin like feel to the sewing card.
The paper chosen for Tokens and Trifles™ sewing cards is acid and lignin free to insure that the time invested in your piece is safeguarded for generations.
While perforated paper has been traditionally made from Bristol board, made by gluing together many thin layers of paper, Tokens and Trifles™ sewing cards use a higher quality, heavyweight paper stock. When excessively handled during stitching, Bristol board often splits into layers or tears. By using a better quality paper stock this problem is reduced in our product. The smooth paper finish also provides a compatible surface for ink, watercolors, and pigma pens as well. |
