STEP 7: Finishing

Making a Thimble Holder from Bon Bon style Tokens and Trifles™ sewing cards
Cut three lozenge-shaped pieces of decorative paper to fit within perforated area of sewing card. Lightly glue to wrong side of stitched pieces without blocking lacing holes.
Thread a 2-yard piece of 4-mm ribbon onto needle. Place two cards with wrong sides together. Beginning at top of cards, lace together, using our lacing technique. When bottom point is reached, open cards slightly and align third card between the first two. Using remaining half of ribbon, lace cards 2 and 3 together. Cards 1 and 3 will not be laced together, allowing the case to open when ends are squeezed. When two complete sides are joined, lace ribbon through single edges to create a binding for case opening. Bury ends of silk ribbon under lacing stitches for 2” before trimming away excess.
