STEP 7: Finishing

Printing on Tokens and Trifles™ Blank Sewing Cards
To print text on a blank Tokens and Trifles™ sewing card, first prepare a section of text in your word processing program that fits into the measured space available. To check the fit, print out the text on a plain piece of paper and hold the card over the printed page using a light source to help you see through the overlapped papers. Adjust if needed until you get a good fit.
When your printed text matches well, take two to three small pieces of double-sided tape (~1/4”) and place them on the backside of the blank Tokens and Trifles™ sewing card. Center the blank sewing card over the text on your test print and press it onto the paper. Feed the paper with the blank card taped over the printed text back through your printer in the same way again. Good positioning of the tape will ensure that the card doesn’t get caught in your printer. A piece in the middle of the card and one or two near the leading edge of the sewing card as it goes into the printer is recommended.
After the text is printed on the Tokens and Trifles™ sewing card, let it dry before removing it from the test printout and carefully removing the double-sided tape pieces.
