STEP 5: Center a Design
Step #1
Take away the width (in squares) of the design from the width of the sewing card. Divide this number in half. This is the number of spaces to leave empty on either side of the design.
Step #2
Take away the height (in squares) of the design from the height of the sewing card. Divide this number in half. This is the number of spaces to leave empty on the top and bottom of the design.
Note
Odd numbers will leave an extra square on one side. For example, 15 squares will divide into 8 and 7. Which side to leave the extra space on is your choice.
